It's 15 miles to the next interchage, which is Reading. It's 32 miles to the Lebanon-Lancaster interchange.  (Photo taken 4/12/15).

At mile marker 297.4, the speed limit increases to 70 mph. In July of 2014, Pennsylvania decided to increase the speed limit from 65 mph to 70 mph on two stretches of Interstate highway in the state, one of them being Interstate 76 (PA Turnpike) from the Morgantown interchange to the Blue Mountain interchage (Exit 201). Another stretch of Interstate which saw the same increase in speed was Interstate 80 from DuBois to Centre County. The speed limit increases are a pilot project that may lead to higher speed limits elsewhere in the state.  (Photo taken 4/12/15).

Many of them were very old, and had low clearance heights on the shoulders. I must say that I think they did a pretty good job rebuilding them in a timely manner.  (Photo taken 4/12/15).

After the next exit, we're going to go through two tunnels in quick succession. This sign lists the Hazardous Materials tunnel restrictions. If you're vehicle has any cargo on it required the placards shown on this sign, you're prohibited from going through the tunnel and must use Exit 201.  (Photo taken 4/12/15).

Nearing mile marker 200, the speed limit drops to 55 mph as you prepare to enter the first tunnel. This marks the end of the 70 mph speed limit on the turnpike. Oh well, it was fun while it lasted, right?  (Photo taken 4/12/15).

The next interchange, which is the Somerset interchange, lies 36 miles ahead. It's 55 miles to the next one after that, which is the Donegal interchange.  (Photo taken 4/12/15).

At mile marker 130, the speed limit drops to 55 mph as you prepare to climb Allegheny Mountain. It's about a 5 mile grade.  (Photo taken 4/12/15).
