As we approach Exit 10, the speed limit decreases to 65 mph and remains that way to near Wheeling, where it drops even more.  (Photo taken 5/16/15).

The Wheeling Tunnel lies 6 miles ahead on Interstate 70 West. Flammables and Explosives are prohibited through the tunnel, as this sign says. If you're hauling these kinds of hazardous materials, you must use Interstate 470 West instead.  (Photo taken 5/16/15).

Interstate 70 West through traffic should use the left lane, as this sign reads. The reason for this is that the right lane is an exit only lane immediately on the other side of the Wheeling Tunnel, as you will see. Also, the speed limit from this point to the Ohio border is 45 mph.  (Photo taken 5/16/15).

Once again, flammables and explosives are prohibited through the Wheeling Tunnel. If you have this type of hazardous freight on board, you must use the next exit, which is the last one before the tunnel.  (Photo taken 5/16/15).
