Interstate 35E as it begins at Exit 127 on Interstate 35 South in Columbus. At this point, I-35 South splits into I-35E and I-35 W. You can see the southbound lanes of I-35W to the right. During the 39.5-mile length of I-35E, its mileage and exit numbers are a continuation of those from Interstate 35, since between it and I-35W, I-35E is shorter and a slightly more direct route south.
